INJURY
Wrist Sprain/Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (noun): Wrist injuries commonly occur when an individual falls on an outstretched hand. The ligaments that connect the bones are stretched or partially torn due to the acute, sudden impact, resulting in wrist strain or sprain. A chronic wrist injury such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is caused by repetitive irritations due to overuse where the tendons become inflamed.
SIGN & SYMPTOMS
Wrist Sprain/Strains: Pain with movement or unable to move and tender with swelling over the wrist.
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: Pain with over use, a tingling, or numbness sensation when using.
