Pitcher's / Golfer's Elbow
INJURY
Pitcher's/Golfer's Elbow (Medial Epicondylitis): Irritation and inflammation of the inner part of the arm as a result from chronic forceful flexion’s of the wrist or from the torques in the elbow during a pitching motion.
SIGN & SYMPTOMS
Individuals have experienced an aching pain during and/or after activity and the pain travels down the arm. Pain gradually worsens which will create weakness in the hand and wrist. Athlete’s with Tennis Elbow will have pain along the outer side during forceful wrist extension, as in the backhand motion in tennis. Golfer’s Elbow will have pain around the inner side during forced wrist bending, as in a pitcher throwing a ball.
