Patellar Tendinitis (Jumper’s Knee) (noun): Patellar Tendinitis is an injury or inflammation of the patellar tendon. The patellar tendon is a cord-like tissue that joins the kneecap to the shin bone. The injury can occur from repetitive jumping, landing and changing direction.
SIGN & SYMPTOMS
The individual experiences pain and stiffness directly over the patellar tendon just below the kneecap while jumping, kneeling, squatting, sitting or climbing stairs.
